The Department of Mathematics of the University of the Aegean has established a laboratory on Didactics of Mathematics and Learning Technologies

The aim of this laboratory is, among other things, to conduct education and research in the fields of Didactics of Mathematics and of Learnign Technologies.

Objectives

The aims set from the establishment of the laboratory are, among others:

  1. the teaching of Didactics of Mathematics, Mathematics Education and Educational Technology at an undergraduate and graduate level.
  2. to support students in teaching during their teacher training courses
  3. conducting research on Didactics of Mathematics, Educational Technologies and Mathematics Education
  4. the development of mathematical software and the support of open standards in the academic community
  5. the supervision of diploma and PhD theses on the above resesarch areas.
